The Global Education Benchmark Group (GEBG) Foreign Travel Assistance and Insurance Program is designed for independent schools with foreign study, travel and other international risks. The genesis of the program was the result of many independent schools looking to partner with a premier Emergency Assistance Provider to upgrade the services available to them for their foreign travel. After thorough research and interviews International SOS was selected as the Emergency Assistance Provider. For the services that International SOS might provide – for example, a medical evacuation – an insurance program through Nationwide Insurance is in place to pay for costs associated with the emergency assistance. Lastly, for schools that don’t have sufficient coverage on their domestic insurance policies to cover international scenarios a program through Navigators Insurance provides General and Auto Liability and Workers Compensation Coverage.
